Rogers’ 2023 regression was partially injury-related, but he also thrived in a different system the year prior under then-head coach, the legendary departed Mike Leach. He’s second all-time in career SEC passing yards and first in career completions, producing a storied resume during his time in Starkville.
He also had an electric junior season in 2022, racking up 3,713 yards and 34 touchdown passes – including a career-high 450 yards in a season-opening win over Memphis. Rogers only played in eight games this year due to injuries, totaling 1,626 yards and 12 touchdown passes with just four interceptions. The senior quarterback out of Mississippi State has entered the transfer portal after the Bulldogs fired coach Zach Arnett earlier this month, and he’ll certainly be one of the top options for several schools looking for a signal-caller out of the portal.
